The 2008 Rachel’s Network Annual Meeting will be held in Washington, D.C. on March 10-13, 2008. Heidi Kuhn, CEO, has been invited to join this distinguished network of women conservation funders to be an instrumental voice for the environment. The focus on the media’s influence and furthering public awareness and understanding of the environment and “how” women are making their mark will be the subject of discussion at The National Press Club and tour of the Newseum. Roots of Peace has worked with UNEP and other major media outlets to ‘pioneer’ the issue of landmines as an environmental concern as we seek to establish alternative agricultural economies in war-torn countries by turning MINES TO VINES.
