RoP Trains New Afghan Teams!
Over 100 Afghan farmers hired this week to produce perennial crops in 9 provinces.

This team is 115 in size with perennial extension teams in Kabul, Parwan, Baglhan, Panjshir, Takhar, Kunuz, Samangan, Balkh and Saripol.

The Roots of Peace Team will plant 70 ha of new orchards, 1000 ha of new vineyards an oversee the installation of 42 ha of new trellises.

This new World Bank program builds upon our past initiatives under the ALP East program, installing 3007 ha, meeting the Roots of Peace target of 3000 ha.

With this new program, Roots of Peace now proudly works in 23 of the 32 provinces in Afghanistan—replacing the “seeds of terror” with “seeds of hope” for future generations.
