Erica (Ju-hyong) Lee
Mrs. Kühn, I am Erica from Indiana University, Bloomington. I was at the luncheon that was held by the LAMP. I wanted to thank you so much for inspiring everyone, especially me. I've always wanted to be a passionate person and my biggest goal in life is to be an inspiring person, no matter what I do. I was tearing-up every time you brought up short but heartfelt stories, probably because of not only the story, but also your genuine care for the people. You know, I was thinking about us, and people in general, taking things for granted. I have to admit that the more I become educated and talk to many people, I realize I've been taking things for granted...and honestly, it is not because I have been intentionally looking away—I had no sense of other people suffering...and feeling fear. So thank you for opening my eyes and providing me a sense of appreciation for the walk to school every morning... I am from South Korea, and the rest of my family still resides there on the other side of the globe from me. My parents worry about me sometimes being so far away from them, but I think they would be very proud of me, feeling inspired and wanting to do good in the world. I wish the best for you, your family and the organization Roots of Peace. I would love to get involved somehow in the near of far future.
Thank you again,
Erica (Ju-hyong) Lee
