 VietnamRoots Of Peace in Vietnam Beginning in 2009, Roots of Peace has launched its work in Vietnam to help improve the livelihoods of the impoverished rural people of the country. Designed to substantially increase incomes for the needy communities still feeling the effects of war that this country has experienced, the program will focus on both removing the still deadly remnants of war while developing sustainable livelihoods for the impoverished people victimized by it. The program will be started with the Highland Economic Rehabilitation Pilot Project that will focus on the cacao, bamboo and eel value chains and eventually be expanded throughout the country.
